Contra dancing is a great way to get some exercise, meet new people, and enjoy live music in a family-friendly environment. No partner necessary. Every dance is taught before you do it and has only a few, easily learned movements. If you can walk, you can contra dance!

We are always grateful for all our dancers and would love to grow our community! Please bring a friend (or three) and your whole family! We welcome everyone; we love having young dancers, young-at-heart dancers, all dancers! We have a beautiful safe space for dancing and fun. Let's Contra!Dance Format
- New Dancers' Workshop 30 minutes, starting 1/2 hour before the dance, is reserved for learning contra dance basics for a more enjoyable experience.
- Dance for 3 hours with a short break in the middle.
Please bring clean, soft-soled, non-marking shoes. Thanks!
Price
Admission is $10 per dancer - pay by cash or check. Or use Venmo and pay $10.50 to @contracola-sc. Children age 12 and under, accompanied by a paying adult, dance for free.Children 12 and under must be supervised by an adult at all times. Children who are not participating in the dance must stay off the dance floor.
